Help!

Please help me! I am trapped in a land of perpetual Christmas.

Everyone has been sick since Christmas Eve, and, despite managing to pull off two days of surprisingly great food and lovely relaxed times, we have not been able to leave this house.

It is a surreal existence. Heads have had to be physically extracted from chimneys. Sprouts have been racing down the table.

Hobbits have taken over the front room.  Sorry, I meant to say Shire.

The hours of the day are marked by feeding sessions only.

And I am constantly being quizzed on what fairy tales I can see in playdough creations.  Is there a life outside these walls? Will I ever emerge? Is anyone out there? AGHHH......

Yes, we're here! Shall I throw you a completely non Christmas, non-family question, just to return you to normality??? Well, shall I?

OK, here goes - I have a 14 nearly 15 year old pupil, good English, who wants a pen pal who will write to her in either English or French. Could you think of anyone??? If this question makes things worse, not better, you can ignore it. Get well soon to all!

I've been at work since Christmas day, plenty of normality here - shame you don't live nearer! My fairy lights went bang and we have mice in the loft - plenty of distractions if you've had enough of Christmas! Betty x

I was going to say Merry Christmas on the last post with the cherrie smile & all that but decided against it...under the circumstances! No strawberry thieves in your house I notice ; ) We may be sunburned (well not me) & scratchy from mosquito bites but that certainly is a bonus on the summer Christmas front that we are not in the middle of winter..how annoyingly dreary toppling on the eve of the show. Don't suppose there's much joy at the reciprocal prospect just now. I'm sure they'll come & let you out any time soon ; ) Pots & pots of chicken soup I say! Just here not at all far away. Much love & sending joy germs Catherine x0x0x0x

Poor dear. The house next door, which houses my granddaughters, has been sick for days. I feel for you. I'll send up a prayer for healing and a clean slate!

Oh goodness...hope y'all are feeling much better! The body has been trying to get sick but I'm overdosing on vitamins, Sambucol and sleep; seems to be working, Thank God.

Time stands still

Hello! Sending you all lots of love from Northern Ireland, where nothing much changes just as everything changes, as usual. Time has stood ...
