Late as ever

If you had asked, I would have said with absolute conviction that I started blogging in August two years ago- wrong again! Happily Ever After, still one of my favourite posts, appeared in your superior midst on 30th July 2009!

Oh well! There'll have to be a little anniversary giveaway, obviously, though I haven't given that any thought at all- if you'd like a little random fraise feast do leave the customary comment below!

Much has changed since that evening on the stool: Jo is six and no longer four. The suns are now old enough to say wedding, instead of happily ever after day, although I ruefully miss that! Not only was that dishwasher replaced, but its replacement also went the way of most technology in this house, and so with our environmental hats on we just fervently wash the dishes now! Well, I just fervently wash the dishes now, with sunny drying assistance! It's all still worth every minute on the corner stool, and possibly more so.

The biggest number of comments came in response to Cooking Catherine's guest post on picnics in the Wind in the Willows week that we all did! And indeed the next biggest came after the invitation to that same week- that was way back in January when we were all mostly snuggling down into mole holes; maybe we should do an Autumn one? And indeed the wet weather here today starts to usher in the cool undertones of crisp leaves and comforting scarves!

Any old how- Happy Second Birthday, Fraise, and thanks to those of you who call in to see us in our sometimes tearful patch!

Happy Anniversary
I cannot quite remember when I first stumbled into the Strawberry Patch - or quite how I got there [that all sounds very Alice-In-W'land] But you cannot believe how glad I am to have found your blog. To have a true friend, a kindred spirit, a 'virtual' shoulder to cry on, and a mate to share great laughter with - all of that is SUCH a blessing from the Lord.

And for a very short woman [who crafts, cooks, chats AND gets interviewed on the radio] plus very tall man [who is brilliant with PCs, guitars, preaching and engineering] plus two gorgeous offspring...I think the 'Happy Ever After Day' was just the beginning of a Fabulous Adventure.

PLEASE keep on blogging

love and blessings xx

Happy Anniversary! Oh, I love YOU! I'm so happy that you are my sweet blog friend. YES! Let's do another Wind in the Willows week! We must! I'll start thinking up some ideas for it. I know that I will definitely start romanticizing the mole hole as soon as I go back to work. I recently read a chick flicky book about knitting and literature and in the story the group members made something that had to do with the book they were reading (something for one of the March girls, for example when they read Little Women). So we should make stuff that has to do with the characters/friends in TWITW. What do you think?

Hello Mags. I love all that you have written on this page..kind of just all flows down the river. So glad to know that your new computer is black..quite certain that's all the information required ; ) Bit of a pain getting all your stuff off a deceased machine though isn't it. Very fortunately for me Rob is clever at such things or I would be a fraction up the creek in the whole thing. Do you see a wee theme ; ) May your week be full of jelly & not require too may jerseys! Much love Catherine x

Happy Anniversary, Mags!
I must not have got in on the very first blog post...I do remember that when I "met" you, you were on the way to the store on your bicycle.

I guess that's over two years of documenting your Happily Ever After online, and indicating that it is cunningly dispersed so that, despite the plot, strawberries may cry. It was a lovely opening post, and I'm glad you drew the attention of we latecomers to it.

Oh, happy birthday, Mags/Fraise! Do another Wind in the Willows and maybe I'll learn to love it this time 'round. I've so enjoyed being your blog friend this year (I believe it's been about a year now) and hope we will remain friends for many years to come, as you make me laugh and laugh.
