What do you do with the blackberries you pick? Make tarts? Cobbler?
So many posts since my last visit! Could we be talking blackberry ice cream here?
According to a friend on facebook I need the Delia Smith book with her wearing something red on the front and I need to substitute blackberries or redcurrants or something for blackberries to make fantastic ice-cream! What is cobbler? Is it crumble?
How lovely to have blackberries coming on now--our wild ones, at least, are usually all gone by the first of August.
The smell of blackberries is really enhanced by hot days, I remember. And today is hot here, so I am getting my last whiff of summer this minute.
Usually once a summer I stumble across unsuspected blackberries and have a feast, but this summer has been feastless.
I like that dog.

Hi, Mags!
Yes, cobbler is a a crumble, I think. Well, on second thought, a cobbler has more flour.
I thought I'd left a comment, but I'm wrong, or else blogger was wonky that day. Or else you rejected it? It was a perfectly nice comment about blackberries! Hmmm ... maybe it was actually quite offensive?
Anyway: the gist: I like blackberries, but haven't picked any this year.
Hope that meets with you approval!
:)
