However, the materials bought in London are not in my mind's eye Liberty socks. They are most definitely Wisley socks. Needles and wool came along the next day, so that in a way we were all creating with sticks.
I liked the colours of the yarn, reflecting their surroundings.
So here I am on my third attempt at knitting a sock!
I took it to Hookery tonight for some tender, loving encouragement, and even some evening sunshine. It was a perfect night! The story continues, in the round...

Your third attempt - does that mean one of your family has three feet? are you from the isle of man?
hoping you do not feel down at heel
blessings, dear sole-sista!
I am flattered at the sheer thought of my having already completed two socks. Sigh. Even the thought of completing one thing would be a nice one!
Way out of my league!

knitting is beyond me, knitting with more than 2 needles looks difficult - the pictures are very pretty.
Good luck, Mags! Socks are so HARD to do. I have an unfinished pair from last fall, with the double-pointed still in them. Sigh. The yarn is a very beautiful color, I think.
I thought the wee strawberries might like this.

Visiting from MK and am chuckling at Angela's note...clever!
Like you, I need to knit socks, to learn how to knit socks. I think it's just a matter of sitting down and DOING IT. I have a tendency to have so many other things to do and neglect socks. Yet, I LOVE socks! I wish you well and success.
Mags, I do hope these photos will be entered into our summer hookery photo competition ......
Well done! The color is gorgeous! Look at you go!
