Hopeless homework

My homework for this week's alphabe-Thursday is hopeless. It might be taken as a tribute to all the exam pupils I have known and loved who write their name at the top and spend the next hour and a half doodling.

I was going to be Happy because November is my favourite month, I have decided. But then I logged on and read all the fabulously sensitive and moving Remembrance posts and Happy seemed inappropriately jolly.

Mattman has been working on Remembrance for two weeks in school now and told me proudly that he had stood quietly behind his chair for a minute and remembered. I didn't. Hopeless.

I tried to think of something special to go with a Veterans day theme but alas it was not to be. Pulled out my camera and visited the hen house.

Sometimes the non-post is the best kind. This one was very true-to-life!

This made me sad, it seems like you are remembering just fine. Sometimes we remember where everyone can see, and sometimes we just remember in our hearts. Don't be hopeless-be hopeful! And it's not wrong to be jolly-I believe that's part of what those we are remembering fought so hard for. And when we live we joy we do the best kind of remembering possible!

celebrate the happy ... i did! mind you i was at Remembrance Day Ceremony this morning ... and I think, all of those that we remembered would want to think of us as being happy ...

That's my daughter! If I didn't keep checking on her, she'd never get homework done!

You deserve to be happy and do not allow anything to spoil that, It happens two seldom in this life for so many.

Great post.

Thanks for visiting my four H's this week, I so appreciate those who come to call.

I admire those who doodle. It can be so creative. My hopeless is doodling!

Everyone should doodle! It releases tension.

You are so jolly and I love it!
I love to doodle, too. How IS school going? Email me!

Doodling is good. I, too, was sadly remiss about remembrance.

So we shall both be forgetful together.

Thanks for a sweet link to Alphabe-Thursday.

The bit about your son really touched me.

A+
